LOVE and INFORMATION by Caryl Churchill
WITTY. UNCONVENTIONAL. THOUGHT-PROVOKING.
And need we say BABS-TI-VA-TING!
BABS’LAB presents our summer production of LOVE AND INFORMATION written by the outstanding British playwright Caryl Churchill, recipient of an Obie Award for Lifetime Achievement. Directed by Barbara Colaciello, Founder and Artistic Director of BABS’LAB, this innovative and provocative play explores the ways we gather and interpret information, and examines the diverse lenses through which we view the world.
Described as "an exhilarating theatrical kaleidoscope" by The Guardian, Love and Information challenges perceptions, ignites the imagination, and leaves you with lingering questions about the world we inhabit. Our Improv to the Rescue troupe brings their ensemble work, improvisation and creative storytelling skills to this summer production, embracing the spirit of collaborative play.
Although featuring 52 scenes separated into 7 sections, Churchill permits directors to choose the scenes to be performed creating a unique collage of moments, and one-of-a-kind productions. With no stage directions, specific locations, character names, or gender identities specified, the play offers endless possibilities for interpretation and creativity.
Immerse yourself in Love and Information and witness the fusion of theater, improvisation, and storytelling.
